The Sprouse Graffiti Speedy was Louis Vuitton's first designer collaboration, and the template for every one that followed. In 2001, Marc Jacobs invited artist Stephen Sprouse to hand-paint his signature spray-can lettering over the house's century-old Monogram canvas - a punk gesture set against old-world heritage. White was one of the original launch colourways, alongside orange, army green and hot pink, and this Speedy 30's May 2001 production date confirms it as an original-run piece, not a later reissue.

The Sprouse collaboration is credited with kickstarting the modern era of fashion collaborations, and that legacy keeps collector demand strong. Original 2001-dated pieces command a clear premium over the louder 2009 reissue colourways, and white survives less often in clean condition than the darker tones, making well-kept examples like this one sit toward the top of what the Speedy Graffiti fetches on the secondary market.

Material: Monogram coated canvas hand-finished with Stephen Sprouse's signature graffiti lettering in white, natural vachetta cowhide leather trim, handles and zip pull, brass-tone hardware.

Features: Twin rolled vachetta leather top handles, top zip closure with leather zip pull, vachetta leather base studs and side tabs, gold-tone zipper hardware, spacious unstructured interior typical of the Speedy silhouette.

Era: Louis Vuitton, Spring/Summer 2001 - the original season of the Stephen Sprouse collaboration. Date code TH0051 (France, May 2001) confirms this as an original-run piece from the 2001 launch.

This bag presents in good condition overall. Specific notes are as follows:

Monogram canvas body and hand-painted graffiti lettering show no major wear, tears, or visible marking.
Base of the bag is in good condition.
Leather piping along the sides shows some areas of very minor cracking.
Leather side tabs show wear and patina consistent with age.
Leather zipper pull may be a later in-house replacement — the leather appears consistent with Louis Vuitton's post-2004 vachetta, suggesting a possible service replacement after the bag's original 2001 production.
Zipper is in good working condition; metal shows mild signs of age.
Handles have darkened with age and show signs of wear, with no major marking or damage.
Overall metal hardware shows mild age but no damage, remaining in good condition. LV padlock also shows minor wear/ scratches.
Interior shows only the faintest signs of wear.

Once your bag is on its way, you'll receive a tracking link by email so you can follow it from our hands to yours. We ship worldwide; international buyers may be liable for import duties or taxes levied by their destination country at the point of arrival.

If your bag isn't quite right, you may return it within 14 days of delivery for a refund. Returns must be sent back in the exact condition received, with all accompanying items (dust bag, authenticity card and packaging where supplied), and with the EBV London security tag attached and intact. Return postage is arranged by you using a fully tracked and insured service — we recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery within the UK or DHL Express internationally.
