The Cambon Ligne was Chanel's biggest bag story of the mid-2000s: launched in 2004 under Karl Lagerfeld and named for 31 Rue Cambon, the Paris street where Gabrielle Chanel opened her first store in 1910, it swapped the house's usual tonal quilting for an oversized, two-tone CC logo in contrasting leather. It ran across totes, bowlers, clutches and reporter bags, and became one of the defining "it-bags" of its era, worn everywhere from paparazzi shots to red carpets. It's a distinctly 2000s take on Chanel rather than a timeless classic piece, which is part of its appeal now — it reads as a specific, nostalgic moment in the house's history rather than the perennial quilted flap.

Size + Condition

Material: Black quilted lambskin leather with a bold white leather CC logo patch, silver-tone hardware, rolled leather top handles.

Features: Open top with zip closure, contrast-coloured fuchsia interior lining, exterior slip pocket to the reverse, interior zip and slip pockets.

This bag presents well overall with the following noted wear, consistent with pre-owned use:

Exterior black leather is in good condition with no notable signs of use, apart from a slight loss of shape near the bottom left, resulting in light creasing.
Base of the bag is in good condition.
The white leather CC logo shows slightly more obvious signs of wear, with light but visible age, discolouration and dirtying.
Handles and metal hardware are all in very good condition.
Interior pink leather zip has dirtened with age, and the interior overall shows more obvious signs of age and wear, with light dirtying to the pink lining throughout.
Interior leather tag is in good condition.

Once your bag is on its way, you'll receive a tracking link by email so you can follow it from our hands to yours. We ship worldwide; international buyers may be liable for import duties or taxes levied by their destination country at the point of arrival.

If your bag isn't quite right, you may return it within 14 days of delivery for a refund. Returns must be sent back in the exact condition received, with all accompanying items (dust bag, authenticity card and packaging where supplied), and with the EBV London security tag attached and intact. Return postage is arranged by you using a fully tracked and insured service — we recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery within the UK or DHL Express internationally.
