The Boy Chanel was introduced by Karl Lagerfeld in 2011, drawing on Gabrielle Chanel's relationship with Arthur “Boy” Capel and translating his masculine influence into a more structured, utilitarian counterpart to the house's classic handbags. Its framed silhouette, oversized CC closure and substantial chain quickly became defining codes of the line.

This particular version dates to Spring/Summer 2015, when Chanel took the Boy into a much more relaxed, 1970s-inspired direction. Denim, printed fabrics and patchwork were used throughout the collection, replacing the polished leather more commonly associated with the style. This example combines contrasting denim panels, patterned textile inserts and deliberately frayed edges with the Boy's architectural shape and gold-tone hardware.

The result is a particularly distinctive seasonal interpretation of one of Chanel's modern classics: recognisably Boy Chanel, but considerably more playful and unconventional than the standard leather versions.

Material: Patchwork denim and canvas construction with leather trim, antique gold-tone metal fittings and leather-interwoven chain.

Features: Signature Boy Chanel framed flap with CC push-lock closure, chunky chain-and-leather shoulder strap, mixed denim patchwork panels, contrasting printed fabric inserts and deliberately frayed detailing.

Condition: Very Good

This bag presents in very good condition overall, with minimal signs of previous use. Specific notes are as follows:

Denim and fabric body are in very good condition, with no noticeable signs of wear, tearing or staining.
Base and corners appear barely used, with no obvious scuffing or marking.
Aged gold-tone hardware is in very good condition with minimal signs of use. The interior of the CC lock retains its original protective plastic sticker.
Overall structure remains strong, with a very minor inward fold along the upper back of the bag, as pictured, which is barely noticeable when worn.
Interior shows minimal signs of use.
Leather shoulder strap is in good condition, with no cracking or marking to the leather. Hardware remains in pristine condition. One end of the leather has warped slightly inward, resulting in very faint creasing, as pictured, though this is barely noticeable.

If your bag isn't quite right, you may return it within 14 days of delivery for a refund. Returns must be sent back in the exact condition received, with all accompanying items (dust bag, authenticity card and packaging where supplied), and with the EBV London security tag attached and intact. Return postage is arranged by you using a fully tracked and insured service — we recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery within the UK or DHL Express internationally.
