The First is where it all started. Ghesquière introduced the motorcycle silhouette at Balenciaga in 2001 — a bag that looked as though it had been pulled from a flea market rail and remade with the hands of a couturier. The distressed goatskin, the braided tassels, the pewter studs: each element was borrowed from utility and elevated into something the fashion world had not seen before. The First, the smallest and earliest of the motorcycle family, carries all of that original energy in its most concentrated form.

Size + Condition

Material: Distressed rose pink goatskin leather body with aged pewter-tone hardware and tonal whipstitch edging throughout.

Features: Multiple exterior zip pockets with braided leather tassel zip pulls, flat top handles, removable flat leather shoulder strap, aged pewter-tone stud detailing at corners and zip ends, and a single main zip compartment with interior mirror pocket.

Era: Produced in the mid-2000s (Nicolas Ghesquière Era, Style 103208).

Leather body is in good overall condition; greying and light discolouration is noted across the back panel, visible in the product imagery.
Light discolouration is present across the tassels, consistent with age.
Base of the bag shows light signs of wear consistent with use.
Corners show light leather scuffing.
Top handles show darkening on the underside, consistent with wear and age.
A dark mark is noted at the top front of the bag below the zip — visible in the product imagery.
Interior shows very faint signs of use and is otherwise in near-pristine condition.
Mirror is in good condition.

Once your bag is on its way, you'll receive a tracking link by email so you can follow it from our hands to yours. We ship worldwide; international buyers may be liable for import duties or taxes levied by their destination country at the point of arrival.

If your bag isn't quite right, you may return it within 14 days of delivery for a refund. Returns must be sent back in the exact condition received, with all accompanying items (dust bag, authenticity card and packaging where supplied), and with the EBV London security tag attached and intact. Return postage is arranged by you using a fully tracked and insured service — we recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery within the UK or DHL Express internationally.
