The Staple

The Boy bag was Karl Lagerfeld's answer to the Classic Flap: launched in 2011 and named for Coco Chanel's lover Arthur "Boy" Capel, it took its boxy silhouette and assertive push-lock from a cartridge bag, deliberately trading the Classic's soft femininity for something edgier and more masculine. Black leather with ruthenium hardware, as seen here, is the combination the bag is most identified with — the dark gunmetal tone leans into that industrial edge rather than softening it, making this arguably the definitive, most recognisable version of the style.

Material: Black calfskin leather with diamond quilting, ruthenium-finish (gunmetal) hardware throughout.

Features: Signature Boy flap closure with ruthenium-finish CC push-lock, chain-and-leather interwoven shoulder strap, chevron-stitched border along the flap edge, reinforced corners.

This bag presents in very good to good condition overall. Specific notes are as follows:

Lambskin exterior is in good condition with no obvious scratches or marking, though it has slouched slightly at the top back of the bag, resulting in very faint, minor creasing.
Base of the bag is in good condition.
Sides are in good condition, with minor slight creasing from storage.
Chain and leather strap are in very good condition, with only very mild, barely-noticeable leather creasing.
All metal hardware is in very good condition.
Interior is in good condition, with a few minor pen marks (shown in product imagery).

Once your bag is on its way, you'll receive a tracking link by email so you can follow it from our hands to yours. We ship worldwide; international buyers may be liable for import duties or taxes levied by their destination country at the point of arrival.

If your bag isn't quite right, you may return it within 14 days of delivery for a refund. Returns must be sent back in the exact condition received, with all accompanying items (dust bag, authenticity card and packaging where supplied), and with the EBV London security tag attached and intact. Return postage is arranged by you using a fully tracked and insured service — we recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery within the UK or DHL Express internationally.
