Following the meteoric success of the original 1997 Baguette, the Fendi Mamma was introduced as its more capacious counterpart — same downtown-cool sensibility, roomier hobo silhouette. Designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, it retained the defining FF clasp hardware (originally sketched by Karl Lagerfeld in under three seconds) while offering a more practical everyday format that spoke directly to the 'It-bag' craze at the turn of the millennium.

This iteration, rendered in black suede with the red glitter FF clasp, is a step beyond the standard Mamma — the glitter resin transforms the house's most recognisable closure into something more overtly playful and festive, characteristic of the embellished special editions Fendi produced across this period.

Material: Black suede body with smooth black leather trim and strap, gold-tone hardware.

Features: Signature gold-tone FF magnetic snap closure with red glitter resin infill — a special embellished iteration of the standard clasp — single adjustable black leather shoulder strap with gold-tone 'FENDI'-engraved buckle hardware, and a red satin interior lining with a zip pocket.

Black suede body is in good overall condition with no obvious marking or staining; the suede shows pronounced storage creasing and folds across the body, consistent with being stored unstuffed — the bag retains its structure but carries a lived-in profile. This is reflected in the product imagery.
Suede at the corners shows light surface brushing and mild nap disturbance consistent with age and use.
Gold-tone FF clasp with red glitter resin infill is in very good condition with no loss of glitter or damage to the surround.
Leather shoulder strap is in good overall condition; it has developed a natural set and slight curvature with age, with creasing noted around the buckle attachment points.
Gold-tone 'FENDI'-engraved buckle hardware is in good condition with no obvious scratching.
Red satin interior lining is in near-pristine condition with minimal to no signs of use; interior zip pocket functions well.

Once your bag is on its way, you'll receive a tracking link by email so you can follow it from our hands to yours. If your bag isn't quite right, you may return it within 14 days of delivery for a refund. Returns must be sent back in the exact condition received, with all accompanying items (dust bag, authenticity card and packaging where supplied), and with the EBV London security tag attached and intact. Return postage is arranged by you using a fully tracked and insured service — we recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery within the UK or DHL Express internationally.
